Living History Living History: The Ancient Bristlecone Pine
This program sponsored by the USDA Forest Service was created in honor of the 50th anniversary of the discovery of the oldest trees in the world: the ancient bristlecone pines. It now plays at the Inyo National Forest Visitor Center. The 18-minute video highlights the role of the ancient bristlecone pines in significant historic and scientific discoveries.

A documentary about the effects of an oil spill and subsequent restoration efforts on Devil's Slide Rock, a sea stack just south of San Francisco. To save the local breeding grounds of the Common Murre, an ocean-diving seabird, biologists turned to innovative restoration techniques, which included the use of decoys, mirrors and audio recordings. Sponsored by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
